And for all you not savvy with the ASU lingo... - - - ENG102 - second semester basic english literature - - - ART111 - drawing! - - - ART115 - 3D design - - - ARS101 - art history, prehistoric through middle ages - - - DAN194 - dance special topic: tai chi chuan! - - - SPE222 - Orient to Education of Excentional Children!
Did you notice that my Friday is 100% class free? And did you notice that I made it so that I had 3 classes each day and a consistent lunch hour? Oh good, I'm so glad you noticed! Yes, I did do a good job, didn't I? Love Always, Brynne
Ps, I encourage all friends enrolled at ASU to sign up for DAN194 Tai Chi! It is merely a 2 credit hour course and would seem to have little to no homework. There is no course fee, and the course description is as followed: Covers topics of immediate or special interest to a faculty member and students.

Today, I started my first job on campus.

I am employed at the First Methodist Church of Tempe where I work in the nursery from 8 to 1 on Sunday mornings, and possibly some time during the weekdays when they need me.

Mckenzie brought her coloring book and crayons, so I jumped at the chance to have some fun. She asked me to draw her my house, and then she drew me her house on some peach-colored paper. Her sister, Tara, drew a black dragon ringing a bell from one of Mckenzie's coloring books. Tara then asked me to draw her a weddingbirthday cake so that she could color it in. She decided to decorate the cake with puzzle pieces. I also taught Tara how to draw a fish because she was having difficulties drawing fish-shaped puzzle pieces on her cake.

[That's Tara on top. !! ]

While walking back to my dorm from Computing Commons last night, I ran into a live performance which was AMAZING. It was just a small concert outside my dorm building in a little grass field, but it was incredible. This guy was awesome, and I got to meet him after the performance!
I didn't purchase one of his CDs afterwards (though I should have because he was signing albums) but I did adore his work enough to go find him both on itunes and youtube the following morning. The following youtube is the song he finished the concert with.

So I did.
1. Who are you? 2. Are we friends? 3. When and how did we meet? 4. Do you or did you have a crush on me? 5. Give me a nickname and explain why you picked it. 6. Describe me in one word. 7. What was your first impression of me? 8. Do you still think that way about me now? 9. Do we have a funny/great memory? 10. If you could give me anything what would it be? 11. How well do you know me? 12. Would you do anything for me ? 13. If you could tell me one thing, right now, what would it be? 14. Are you going to post this in your notes and see what I say about you?

( Gorbachev: Lenin should be moved from Red Square ~
By Guy FaulconbridgeWed Jun 4, 10:00 AM ET ~ ~
The embalmed body of revolutionary leader Vladimir Lenin should be moved from Red Square and buried as his family had wished, former Soviet president Mikhail Gorbachev said on Wednesday. )
Bummer. So my goal to see Lenin's body before I die has been demolished. Oh well, it is just a body corpse and I'm sure Red Square will be totally cutting back on their electricity bill!
Did you know that Lenin asked that no memorials be made of him after death? It's funny because I can't think of a single person who has had more statues and museums made of him than Lenin. Except Jesus. (Duh.) After his death there was a statue, if not a museum, built in almost every major city in the Soviet Union. Since the Soviet Union has become Russia, many of the statues have be destroyed. I large portion of them still stand though, because of the historical importance Lenin has had on the country. On top of that, Lenin was known to the public as an atheist. Isn't that comical? Keeping the corpse of an atheist frozen in hopes of bringing him back to life one day? Hilarious, almost.
Stalin use to be in an ice cube right next to him. Yeep, that's right: you could go see both Lenin AND Stalin in the same trip to Russia. You could even see them at the same time, literally, until 1961 when Stalin was booted out and put into the ground. Lenin's family requested that his body be buried, but the Communists of the country wanted him to preserve the corpse. The Communists are still fighting for their original desire, unlike Lenin's family that is now, of course, dead.
The whole situation is rather ironic, really.

completely exhausted |

I'm done with all in school finals, and I am completely exhausted. My actions were much to my chagrin after school today. Everyone was excited and happy to be done yet all I could do was walk around like a zombie. I became so completely worn-out the moment I learned the results of my math final. It was a very different disposition than my prior anxiety. Before my final, I was completely focused on success. Holding that B in math played a crucial roll in keeping the scholarship I have so studiously been adamant about attaining this year. My focus was well-rewarded when I succeed and obtained a B minus on my exam, resulting in an 82% for the entire semester. I wanted to be excited when I discovered that the past 72 two hours that I had devoted to studying payed off, but my feeble body would not allow it.
I was, indeed, thrilled to learn of my achievement; yet exhilaration refused to invoke my conscious ming. It is nice, I suppose, to be finished with all Mountain Pointe finals and class work, but though I had become exhausted because of this nicety, I was unable to feel relief. Despite the fairly massive step I have taken toward my goal, it is still just an ingredient in its process. I was bitter, really, after learning of my success. Bitter because of all the relieved and happy faces that surrounded me. "We're done!" One would say most triumphantly. I would arrogantly note to myself of the false-pride that glittered the spoken words. Their owner, I felt, did nothing to have been gifted with such triumph. I would bite my tongue to avoid hearing my voice expel a bitter response. It was childish. Even at the time thought my resent to be immature and because of this I would try to play along with my peers' gleeful jubilation in enduring Senoritis. I felt them so undeserving of this sense of accomplishment. So undeserving of relief.
All the happy faces were an annoyance to be around, but felt more like home than the residence that awaited me. I was encouraged by my peers to be as equally cheerful as they. I attempted more then once but could not bring myself to delight in this unworthy celebration. I understand each one of my peers has worked hard during the past four years, but most have done nothing productive but wait for the end during this final 9 month stretch. This of course was rewarded because of the hard work that was accomplished in the first three years, an accomplishment that do not match my own of the time. Yet despite my understanding, I could not help but view differing peers at various times as undeserving of their scholarships and freedoms during this final year because of the significant difference of work preformed compared to me. I am under the assumption that this "unworthy celebration" acted as the final straw to my understandings. Their jubilation stimulated a resent that was of a level great than my better knowledge, [hours later after returning to computer] and I have now uselessly rambled to an online journal about it.
Much to my chagrin, I wrote an entire three lengthy paragraphs about it. Hm. oh well! Only two more finals to go and I'm home free. ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ *is excited*
